I no longer use this blog, but I'm leaving it up for archival purposes. Feel free to ask me ferret questions, though, through email instead. (See most recent post.)

Denises's Delightful Dookers Ferret Rescue

ferretales:

Denises’s Delightful Dookers Ferret Rescue is a not-for-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to the care of homeless ferrets; their placement into permanent loving homes; hospice for the elderly, sick, and terminally ill; and ferret education. It is located in Auburn, Washington.

I volunteer here and can personally attest to the shelter’s overall awesomeness. Denise has been caring for unloved and unwanted ferrets for almost 20+ years!

REMEMBER TO VOTE TO SAVE FERRET LIVES!

Just click the link, hit “Shelter Challenge” on the right side, select WA, type in “Auburn”, and confirm your vote. SO EASY! Help Denise out! She just took in seven ferrets, one stray and six from an elderly friend dying of cancer. Help her help ferrets!

SHERLOCK UPDATE!!
Sherlock is now being fostered! Cheyenne (12 year old volunteer) and her mother are now watching over sweet Sherlock, who has blossomed in their care. He’s showing more attitude and spunk— behaving as a ferret should! His time at the shelter has improved him greatly. When he came in, he just waddled around and napped during playtime. And only recently did he even start to bounce and play. Now that he’s being fostered, I’m hearing stories of him not only playing but messing up his cage and being spunky. I am truly happy about this turn of events. :) Happy foster day, Sherlock! ♥

This is Percy, a young ferret at the shelter.

And he has a Mohawk. Your argument is invalid.
